Dave Schlagel, Pastor
Pastor Schlagel came to Marquette Manor in January of 2010. Before coming to Marquette, he served as an associate pastor in Oregon for six years. Prior to that, he served as a Christian school administrator and as a Bible college dean in Wisconsin.
Pastor Schlagel is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, and holds graduate degrees from Stanford University and Bob Jones University. He was an officer in the Navy’s submarine force for many years before sensing God’s call to full-time Christian ministry. Pastor Schlagel and his wife, Becky, both grew up in rural Minnesota. Micah Potter, Assistant/Youth Pastor
Pastor Potter came to Marquette in August of 2013. Previous to his ministry here, Micah served in Henry, Illinois, where his duties included that of assistant pastor, youth leader, VBS director, and song leader. His passion is reaching people with the Gospel and connecting with them for discipleship and spiritual growth. He loves people of every age, and his friendly, outgoing personality allows him to connect well with children, teens, and adults alike.
Micah earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies from Maranatha Baptist Bible College and an M.Div. from Calvary Baptist Seminary. Pastor Potter and his wife Jerian have two children, Brooklynn and Ashlyn. Contact Pastor Potter.
Jeff Carrillo, Song Leader
Jeff Carrillo came to Marquette Manor in 2007. Since 2008 he has served in various teaching and music ministries including song leading, adult Bible studies, choir, String Camp, and Junior Church.
He earned a Master's of Divinity (2001) and B.A. (1994) in Bible from Bob Jones University. Jeff's passion is teaching God's Word and serving Him. Jeff and his wife Teresa have 4 energetic children who love serving with them at Marquette. Contact Jeff.
Rita Cipollo, Church Secretary
Rita Cipollo has been attending Marquette with her husband Bob since 1994. She adopted the role of Church Secretary in 2001 and does an excellent job with many administrative and organizational tasks. Rita and Bob have two children serving our country in the United States Navy. Contact Rita.
Melanie Forrest, Business Manager
Melanie Forrest came to Marquette in 2008 and has worked in the Business Office since that time. She graduated from Bob Jones University in 1997 with a degree in Marketing. You can find her actively crunching numbers and efficiently keeping up with loads of paperwork that cross her desk. Contact Melanie.
Tim Wampler, School Administrator
Tim Wampler came to Marquette in 2004 to teach music in the Academy. Through the years, his role has expanded into Fine Arts Director and, in 2011, Academy Principal. Before coming to Marquette, he served in various roles in Christian schools including principal, band director, and teacher.
Tim holds a B.S. in Music Education and M.S in Educational Leadership from Bob Jones University. Contact Tim.
Steve Wright, Facilities Manager
Steve Wright has been attending Marquette with his wife Deb since 2001 and has served as Facilities Manager since 2002. With his wide range of responsibilities, you can find him plowing snow, cleaning carpets, upgrading the building, fixing broken sinks, or any other imaginable maintenance task around Marquette. Steve keeps our building looking sharp. He and Deb have 7 children ranging from preschool to college age. Contact Steve.
